Children’s Dentistry
Making Your Child’s Dental Experience a Great One
At Strongsville Dental & Laser Aesthetics, we’re well aware that the idea of a dentist appointment is scary for many young children. However, our team works hard to beat that stereotype with exceptional dental care and a commitment to a comforting environment. In everything we do, we promote optimal oral health for our young patients. We will gladly treat, within the scope of general dentistry, infants and children through adolescence. In some cases, our kids’ dentist may refer your child to a specialist or orthodontist to evaluate and manage their dental needs. All in all, we believe children’s dental experiences should be relaxed and stress-free.
When Should a Child Go to the Dentist?
New parents often ask at what age they should take their child to the dentist for the first time. As a general rule, we recommend starting regular dental checkups at one year old or when the child’s first tooth comes in. After that, we suggest making appointments every six months to ensure proper tooth development and to catch signs of cavities and gum disease early. If you’re not sure when to take your child to the dentist, don’t hesitate to reach out to our friendly front desk team.
A Slew of Services for Our Youngest Patients
We offer an array of dental services for children. Kids’ dental care is just as important as adults’, and our pediatric dentist is dedicated to providing all the care our patients need in one place. We can take care of nearly any general dentistry concern, including:
- Dental checkups and x-rays
- Root canals
- Fluoride treatment
- Fillings and cavity treatment
- Crowns
- Dental sealants
